Hannah Lewis didn’t allow a single run as West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity defeated Shakamak 9-0 on Saturday. Lewis allowed just three hits.

West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning. West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity put the pressure on, lead by singles by Emma Stevens, Alex Barnaby, and Samantha Seventy and a triple by Mary-Paige Mason.

In the second inning, West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity got their offense started when Zoé Boatman singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity notched five runs in the sixth inning. Mason, Stevens, Barnaby, and Seventy all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for Shakamak was a single by Maddeline Gilbert in the first inning.

Lewis earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity. She lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking one.

Jona Lash was in the circle for Shakamak. She went three innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out two and walking one. Kaitlynne Gilbert threw three innings in relief.

West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity launched one home run on the day. Lyric Krause went deep in the third inning.

West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity racked up 17 hits in the game. Lewis, Krause, Seventy, Mason, Stevens, and Barnaby each managed multiple hits for West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity. Krause and Lewis each managed three hits to lead West Vigo Lady Vikes Varsity.

Shakamak was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Gilbert had the most chances in the field with four.
