The West Vigo Lady Vikings were short-handed on Tuesday night with 3 key players sidelined to injury. However, the youth of the team got their chance to show what they can do. In the first half the Vikings played even with the Mustangs and only trailed by one at the half. Coming out of halftime was a different story as the youth of the team showed not putting up any points in the 3rd quarter. Not giving up, the team made a run to cut it to 9 in the fourth quarter, but could never get over that hump. It was a great team effort and showed there is a bright future ahead. The team was lead in scoring by freshman Adelynn Harris who 8 points. There were also two dominant rebounders in the game in Grace Likens, 14 rebounds, and Makayla Sweitzer, 15 rebounds. The team will be in action again on Friday night when they travel to Shakamak with the JV game tip at 6:00 pm.
