The lady Vikings continues their season showing some depth with wins over Clay City and North Central. Leading the way once again with triple wins was Madelyn Brown in the 1600,3200 and anchoring leg of the winning 4×8, Shelby Joy 100,200 and anchoring leg of the 4x1and Morgan Weir in 400,800 and anchoring leg of the 4×4. One of the most exciting races of the evening was Weir’s anchoring leg of the 4×4 where she overcame the Clay City runner that clearly had 80 meters on her when she received the baton. Morgan was able to run her down and beat her in time to help secure first place for the relay team. The 4×4 relay team also consisted of Chyaunna Redman, Sydney Dunkin and Chloee Hurst. Members of the victorious 4×8 in addition to Brown was Hurst, Brooke Stateler and Abby Scott and rounding out the 4×1 victorious squad was Julia Ennis, Hurst and Dunkin. Redman also took 1st in the 300 hurdles and 2nd in the 200. Kayla Ennis took 1st in the long jump, Jadelin Skelton took 1st in the shot and 2nd in the disc. Dunkin also scored a 3rd place finish in the 200. Julianna Parsons earned some points in the disc, high jump and 300 hurdles with 4th place and took 3rd in the 100 hurdles. Brooke Stateler also took 2nd in the 1600 and 3rd in the 800 and Abby Scott 4th in the 1600 and 800 and Laney Saude secured a solid 2nd place finish in the 3200! This team continues to pull together and work as a team from start to finish. Their hard work and dedication continues to show itself.
