Meet Recap

The West Vigo Vikings Track and Field opened their season with decisive wins over Paris and Georgetown with the scores with Wet Vigo finishing with 76 points, Paris with 60 and Georgetown with 28. Leading the way with four wins was Morgan Weir in the high jump, 400, and 800 an anchoring leg of the 4×4. Triple winner was Madelyn Brown in 3200, 1600 and anchoring leg of the 4×8 and she took 3rd in the long jump. Along with Weir in the winning 4×4 were Abby Scott, Morgan Buchanan and Chloee Hurst. In the 1st place finish in the 4×8 along with Brown was Brooke Stateler, Abby Scott and Chloe Hurst. The 4×1 team consisting of Shelby Joy, Riley Bull, Cheyanna Redman and Rhiana Maples also took a 1st place finish. Other Vikings that scored were Julie Mackey in the pole vault, Jadelin Skelton and Emily Turner in the shot, Buchanan in the 100 and 200, Sydney Dunkin in the 100and 200, Redman in the 100 and 300 hurdles and Laney Saude in the 3200. It was a great team effort. We had several personal best on a cold crisp night.
