Last night, the Viking boys track team improved their record to 11-0 with a hard fought 74-64-29 victory over Northview and Greencastle on the Knights home track. The Vikings lead throughout the meet and it was a determined total team effort that sealed the victory. Ethan Roach and Hunter Voils went 1-2 in the 100 and 200 and along with Clayton Noblitt and Tyler Kernstein, they ran a season best 43.6 in the 400 Relay. Kernstein and Noblitt also went 1-3 in the long jump. Douglas Wilkins and Jacob Weir went 1-2 in the 110 Hurdles, then 1-3(Weir, Wilkins) in the 300 hurdles. Luke Bigger won the Discus, with Randy Sullivan 3rd, and Randy also was 2nd in the shot put with a season best throw. Wayne Owen, Logan Thralls and Bailey Sherrill went 2,3,4 in the Pole Vault. Brady Page picked up important 2nd places in the 800, 1600 and 3200, Jacob turner also 4th in the 1600, Jordan Favre was 2nd in the 400. and The 1600Relay team of Favre, Weir, Wilkins and Jarrett Scott sealed the deal with a 2nd place finish. This is a very good Northview team, and our athletes stepped up to seize a well-deserved victory.
