Meet Recap

The Lady Vikings are now 8-1 as they defeated Clay City and North Central in a tri meet. This group of girls continue to work together as a team to overcome obstacles. The West Vigo girls took 8 1st places. Leading the way was senior Alathia Bowden with 1st in the 100 and 300 hurdles as she remains undefeated in both for the season and 1st in the Long jump .Sophomore Morgan Weir took 1st in the 100 and 200 and had a strong 2nd place finish in the 400 . The 4×8 relay team of Madelyn Brown, Kaylie Meehan, Brooke Stateler and Jadelin Skelton, all sophomores, brought home a 1st place finish. Julie Mackey took 1st in the Pole Vault and last but not least the 4×4 team of Chloe Hurst, Paige Buckallew, Madelyn Brown and Alathia Bowden took 1st. The entire team contributed to win with many 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishes. Without everyone’s team first efforts a win would not have been possible! Next meet will be at home Tuesday the 19th at home against Marshall.
