Game Recap

Kylie Cardinal scored 16 points to bring West Vigo to a 48-37 victory over South Vermillion on Friday. Vikings secured their lead in the third quarter on a two-pointer from Leah Morrison.
West Vigo fell behind early, 18-14 by the half, but avenged their first half with solid second half play. With 20 points in the third quarter, West Vigo added to their existing lead.
Cardinal led the charge for West Vigo’s offense, scoring 16 points, with 12 points during the third period. She also contributed seven rebounds and four steals.
Brooke Houser tapped out at double digits, scoring 11 points for West Vigo (2-for-11). Also contributing for West Vigo were Morrison (8 points, 5 rebounds), Abby Pointer (4 points, 8 rebounds), Mary Curley (4 points, 4 rebounds), and Hannah Lewis (3 points, 2 rebounds).
West Vigo finished the game with 38 rebounds (12 offensive / 26 defensive) and five steals.
